Questions are always welcome.

Open any question below for a plain-language answer. If your question is not listed, call me — you'll reach me directly.

Do you make home visits?

Yes. Most of my appointments happen at my clients' homes, and I schedule home visits anywhere from New Orleans to Lafayette. If a phone conversation or one of my offices works better, we can do that too.

What does it cost to work with you?

Nothing. I'm paid by the insurance company you enroll with, and working with me doesn't change what you pay. There's no charge to call, meet, or ask questions.

Do you work for an insurance company?

No. I'm an independent agent, which means I represent multiple organizations and compare options across them. My job is to start with your doctors, medications, and priorities — not a company's sales script.

What is a Scope of Appointment, and why do I have to sign one before we talk plans?

Medicare requires me to document the types of plans you agree to discuss before we get into specific plan details. The Scope of Appointment is not a commitment to enroll or a sales contract; it simply keeps the conversation within the topics you choose. It takes about a minute to complete.

When can I change my Medicare plan?

It depends on which type of coverage you're asking about.

For Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans, the main window is the Annual Enrollment Period each fall, October 15 through December 7. There's also a window from January 1 through March 31 for people already in a Medicare Advantage plan to make one change. Certain life events can open other windows during the year.

Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans work differently — there's no annual calendar window. Your strongest opportunity is a one-time 6-month period that starts when you're 65 or older and first enroll in Medicare Part B; during that window, you're guaranteed acceptance regardless of health history. Outside that window, you can still apply, but health questions may apply, and rules vary by state.

Because the right answer depends on your specific situation, call me before making any change and I'll help you figure out exactly where you stand.

Can you review the plan I already have, even if I didn't buy it from you?

Yes. I can review the coverage you already have, even if another agent helped you enroll. If it still fits, I'll tell you; if something deserves a closer look, I'll explain why.

What should I have ready for our first conversation?

If you have a Medicare card, bring it — but don't worry if you don't have one yet, or if you're not yet enrolled in Medicare at all. I can verify your Medicare enrollment and coverage directly, so a missing card never holds up our conversation. A list of your doctors and medications is helpful if you have one handy, but that's optional too. Please don't send Medicare numbers, Social Security numbers, medical records, or medication details through this website — save those details for our phone call or appointment.

What's the difference between Medicare Advantage and a Medicare Supplement?

Medicare Advantage is another way to receive your Medicare benefits through a private insurer, usually with plan rules and provider networks. A Medicare Supplement works alongside Original Medicare to help with certain out-of-pocket costs, and it is a different kind of coverage.

Do I have to come to your office?

No. Most people never come to an office because most of my appointments happen at clients' homes, and we can also talk by phone. If you prefer an office, Metairie and Saint Amant are available by appointment.

Is there any obligation if I call?

No. Calling me or asking questions doesn't commit you to enroll or make a change. If your current coverage still fits, I'll tell you.

Can I look at plans on my own first?

Yes. You can look at available plans on my PlanEnroll page before we speak, and then call me with questions. Browsing on your own does not obligate you to enroll.

What areas do you serve?

I make in-person visits across Southeast Louisiana, including New Orleans, Baton Rouge, the Northshore, the River Parishes, and Lafayette. I'm licensed in Louisiana and several other states; call to ask about yours.

Ready to discuss specific plans?

Before we can go over specific plans, Medicare requires a quick Scope of Appointment form. It is not a commitment—it simply confirms which types of coverage you are open to discussing.
